Alarm system for apartments
An apartment needs a compact base: front door, balcony/terrace if any, siren and app — no surplus sensors. Below is what we install for apartments in practice. The technical base matches our starter kit; this page focuses on what is apartment-specific, including rental.

This is what we almost always recommend in practice. Hub 2 Plus (Wi-Fi + 4G) can be placed anywhere, MotionCam PhOD for a photo on your phone when the alarm triggers, and StreetSiren outdoors so neighbours and the street hear it too.
We carry every product with us, also if you want to expand straight away. An installation at a later time stays € 899 excl. VAT.
You can start lower. Then you give up capabilities that are really needed in Spain: the Hub 2 Plus, photo verification, 4G and wifi as extra backup channels to the Ajax Cloud, or that 2-year on-site warranty.
Why this standard advice?
Hub 2 Plus has Wi-Fi and 4G: you place the hub where mobile reception is strongest, not only next to the router. MotionCam PhOD sends a photo to your phone on alarm — just like a regular MotionCam. The difference is PhOD (Photo on Demand): you can also request a photo manually, even when the alarm is off or there is no break-in. Useful to check everything is fine while you are in the Netherlands. StreetSiren is outdoors and audible for neighbours and the street; that is stronger deterrence than an indoor siren alone.

Warning sign on the facade
Visible security is the first deterrent. With every installation we mount warning signs on the facade as standard — so everyone can see the property is protected, before any sensor or siren acts.
Included in the starter kit
Format of your choice: A3, A4 or A5. You decide which size we mount. The colour of the signs is always the same with us.
Do you rent out your apartment?
Tenants, cleaners and key holders need simple control of the alarm — without your phone or a stack of remotes. In an apartment, one compact control at the front door works better than extra sirens.
KeyPad Combi — all in one

For rental we recommend a KeyPad Combi at the front door: tag reader, keypad and siren in one device. Smarter than a separate tag reader, indoor siren and keypad — one product, one mounting point.
The siren in the KeyPad often sits at arm height and is easier to sabotage. You always get an alert. Our standard advice already includes an outdoor StreetSiren as the main deterrent. We rarely add extra indoor sirens in apartments: the volume is quickly too much for neighbours.
SpaceControl — key fob remote

Want to arm and disarm without picking up your phone — for yourself on arrival, or for one fixed key holder? The SpaceControl sits on the keyring. For rotating tenants, tags + KeyPad Combi are more practical; SpaceControl suits you or one fixed contact.
Tags for tenants. With the KeyPad Combi tag reader, each tenant, cleaner or key holder gets their own tag (€7.50). They arm and disarm with it. In the app you can see each use if you wish.
Lost tag? Remove it in the app and add a new one. A tag has no battery that can die unexpectedly, unlike a remote.
About the prices
Prices on this page include installation and 2 years on-site warranty on the Costa Blanca and Costa Cálida (excl. VAT). For questions and support: search first at Ask a question. Ticket or home visit via Support — not via WhatsApp. If something is truly defective under warranty, a technician comes to you. During the home visit we agree the final layout and give you one fixed quote for products, placement and installation — with the option to install on the spot. Advice comes from the technician who visits you, not a salesperson: over 7 years of hands-on experience on site.
