Cameras are always an addition to outdoor detection with us — never a replacement. Outdoors we almost always install wireless cameras for alarm verification: discreetly mounted, stored locally and meant to confirm an outdoor alarm — not to replace detection. Verification with cameras — our approach

In practice: on almost every installation we combine outdoor detection with wireless verification outdoors. Ajax Wi-Fi and wired Ajax are added when they fit — not as a default package.

Why we often choose wireless outdoors: in Spain burglars sometimes cut power via the open meter box at the street. Wireless cameras keep recording locally — even during a power or Wi-Fi outage the evidence is preserved. With wired Ajax we therefore always include backup power (230 V).

Cameras are verification — not a replacement

Cameras alone do not prevent break-ins. They are the perfect tool to verify an alarm from outdoor sensors — not to replace those sensors. Only outdoor detection with a siren drives intruders away immediately; the camera records it. That way you prevent damage and always have evidence.

Together, outdoor detection and cameras form the ideal combination: live viewing, listening and evidence after an event — without a monitoring centre subscription.
