Subscription systems do not reach this level. Everything else is a different category.
A Spanish home needs different security work than a standard package: garden and terrace in front of the house, large sliding doors and weeks or months of vacancy while you are abroad.
Subscription providers rarely design their systems for that risk profile. Everything stands or falls on two things: outdoor detection and protection against jamming. AJAX is built for that — and you own the hardware, without a monthly alarm subscription.
Sensors in the garden, by the terrace or along vulnerable windows report movement before someone is inside. You gain reaction time and the burglar hears and sees that the system is already active — instead of only in the living room.
A strong siren outside is audible for neighbours and the street. Combine that with jamming detection: if someone tries to block the radio signal, you get an alert. Without that combination, a silent or jammed alarm too often goes unnoticed.
Jamming is the deliberate interference with the wireless link between sensors and the hub. Without detecting it, a burglar can try to block alerts. AJAX monitors that connection actively; you notice interference instead of a silent system.
Many providers promise free installation, 24/7 monitoring and “police on the way”. In practice you pay every month, you rarely own the hardware, and the response depends on a call centre — not on noise in the street or detection in the garden. We prefer sensors in the garden, by the terrace and along vulnerable windows. You know in time that someone is there — before the house is reached.
On break-in or sabotage we place the outdoor siren where noise outside has the most effect — immediately and without you having to do anything.
In Spain the meter box is often open to the street. A SIM in the hub keeps alerts active if power or internet fails.
At most one indoor sensor as a safety net — but the focus is on deterring outside, wherever possible.
