Slide the Hub off the bracket (mounting plate on the back of the Hub).
Insert the SIM card into the hub as shown in the image below.
Slide the Hub back onto the bracket and grab your smartphone to open the Hik-Connect app.
Make sure the system is switched off and follow the instructions below:
Click the 6-sided button at the top right of the window to open the settings.
Select Communication parameters
Choose Mobile data network settings
Tick mobile data network if not already done. Then press sim 1 or sim 2, depending on which type of Hub it is and in which SIM slot you have inserted the SIM card.
Choose Parameter configuration, and uncheck Data consumption limit if it is enabled.
Leave all fields blank, and only enter the provided APN data in the APN field (see received card).
For MTU, any number between 300 and 1500 may be listed. If a number is already entered, you can leave it blank.
If an access number is visible (*99***1#), you can leave it there.
In the status overview, you can check whether the SIM card is functioning correctly.
Normally in 1 hour it will be activated.

Make sure the system is switched off and follow the instructions below:
Go to the devices list, leftmost tab, see red arrow. Then press the Hub at the top of the devices list, see red sign.
Press the little cogwheel, see red arrow.
Press select “Mobile“, see red mark.
Tick “Mobile” & “Roaming“, see red arrows. Then press sim 1 or sim 2, depending on which type of Hub it is and in which sim slot you have inserted the sim card.
Leave all fields blank, and only enter the provided APN data in the APN field (see received card).
The SIM card is now set up correctly and will work within minutes.
If you go to the same screen in the app from step 2, you will see (active) behind the SIM card if it is properly activated.
When the AJAX hub is connected to an internet cable (Ethernet) & a SIM card, the logo on the hub will colour blue.
If the Hub is connected only to Ethernet, or only to a SIM card, the logo will colour green.
Red means no internet connection is active.
Normally in 1 hour it will be activated.
